Qarz-e-Hasna (قرض حسنہ) is an Arabic term that translates to a “beautiful loan.” It is a fundamental concept in Islamic finance and social ethics, referring to an interest-free loan given to someone in need, with the sole purpose of pleasing God.

About Project

Ali Baba Foundation provide the interest free loans that are

  1. Interest-Free (Riba-Free): The most critical aspect is that it is given without any expectation of an increase or interest. The borrower is only obliged to repay the exact principal amount.

  2. Pure Intent: The lender’s motive should be to help a fellow human being, seeking reward from God rather than any worldly or financial gain.

  3. A Form of Charity (Sadaqah): It is considered one of the highest forms of charity. While Sadaqah is a outright gift, Qarz-e-Hasna is a loan that must be repaid, but its “beauty” lies in its compassionate and interest-free nature.
